 

Knight Shines in Lincoln County Raceway Stop for URSS!

North Platte, Nebraska – July 7, 2018 - Tyler Knight took advantage of his front row starting position and held off Zach Chappell to claim the United Rebel Sprint Series first and only appearance of the season at Lincoln County Raceway in North Platte, Nebraska for the third annual Ron Williams/Dick “Snoose” Myers Memorial on Saturday night.

Knight and Chappell started on the front row for the twenty-lap feature and it was Knight getting the jump on Chappell to take the lead as the green flag fell. Zach Blurton, Jed Werner and Ty Williams gave chase, but it was Knight keeping the pace out front.

Chappell tried to keep pace with the leader, but Knight would go on to claim his first series victory of the season and the seventh different series feature winner in as many events. Chappell of Tulsa, Oklahoma was making his first 2018 appearance with the “Rebels” and would come home second while Blurton settled for third. Coby Pearce came home fourth while Werner rounded out the top five.

Shane Sundquist started the night’s feature finale fifteenth and advance eight spots to claim seventh and the Keizer Aluminum Wheels hard charger award.
