Cranston drives to another URSS victory
NORTON — Luke Cranston started the season out with a flurry. He's finishing the season the same way.
Cranston, of Plains, won his sixth United Rebel Sprint Series feature Saturday night on the first day of a two-night swing at Norton's Elmwood Park Speedway.
It was his second win at the half-mile track this season. He also reached victory lane there July 30.
Patrick Bourke finished second, followed by 2010 URSS national champion Ty Williams in third. Jason Martin, who won Friday night at RPM Speedway in Hays, finished fourth, and Ray Seemann rounded out the top five.
Seemann and Mark Walinder each won a B-main, and heat race winners were Williams, Judd Sheaffer, Cranston and Bourke.
The Keizer Aluminum Racing Wheels Hard-Charger Award went to Josh Fairbank, who started 17th and finished ninth.
